Megmeet Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT)

The Megmeet Product Security Incident Response Team (hereinafter referred to as PSIRT) is responsible for receiving, analyzing, evaluating, coordinating the handling of, and managing the disclosure of cybersecurity vulnerabilities in Megmeet products.

Megmeet defines a vulnerability as a security weakness in a product that could potentially be exploited by an attacker. Such exploitation may compromise the integrity, availability, or confidentiality of the product. A vulnerability is distinct from a general quality defect. A quality defect typically manifests as abnormal functionality or performance that fails to meet expectations during normal use due to design, implementation, or manufacturing issues. In contrast, a vulnerability involves cybersecurity risks that could be exploited by attackers, thereby impacting the security of the product.

Megmeet encourages security researchers, industry organizations, customers, and suppliers to report any suspected vulnerabilities related to Megmeet products to the PSIRT. Upon receiving a report, the PSIRT will process it in accordance with international standards such as ISO/IEC 29147 and ISO/IEC 30111. This includes receiving, analyzing, assessing risks, responding, and coordinating disclosures, ultimately driving the closed-loop resolution of related security issues.
